On Saturday, October 27, 2007 The Carrozzini von Buhler Gallery in Manhattan presents:
Wild Things: A Halloween Costume Ball & Art Auction

Cynthia von Buhler and Stefania Carrozzini invite you to Wild Things, a Halloween Costume Ball and Art Auction. On exhibit during the Ball will be non-traditional, animal-related painting, photography, and sculpture which will be sold in a silent auction that night. Proceeds will be donated to City Critters, a New York City animal rescue agency which helps wild things out on the streets of the city. Please come dressed as an animal. Free admission. The guest list will be limited to 125 people. Please RSVP to hannah@drawbridge.com to secure a space on our guest list.

Featuring art by: Lucky (elephant, see below), Cynthia von Buhler, Christina Carrozza D'Alessandro, Kathleen Bitetti, Noah Breuer, Amy Cohen Banker, Bina Altera, Jen Ferguson, Molly Weingart, Diane Matyas, Katherine McDowell, Kathy Osborn, Paul Weiner, Scott Cahaly, Krissy Weinstein, Mary Kenny, April Lippell and many more. All bids are starting at $500 or less.

Additional support from: Russell Farhang, Christina Carrozza D'Alessandro, Amy Cohen Banker, Germinder & Associates/Good News for Pets, Nick Capasso/DeCordova Musuem, Molly Weingart, and City Critters .

WHAT IS A SILENT AUCTION? An auction is like a sale--people will have a chance to buy items that have been donated by artists. People have a chance of buying this item by making a bid, that is, they write an amount of money that they would be willing to pay on a sheet of paper near the art. Another person may come by and want the same item so he/she may offer more money, making a higher bid. At the end of the auction, the person with the highest bid goes home with the item.

Below are works of art that you can start bidding on now or you can bid at the event. Click on the images to see them enlarged. If you would like to make a bid now please e-mail hannah@drawbridge.com with your name, phone number, e-mail address, the title of the work you are bidding on and your bid amount. Bids must be made in $25 increments. For example, if a starting bid is $50 you must bid $75. Once it is $75 you must bid $100...and so on. Please bring your checkbook or cash as all art must be purchased the night of the event. Sorry, we do not take credit cards. All artists will donate 50% of the sale price of their piece to City Critters. Checks will be written out directly to City Critters and the artists so please be prepared to write 2 checks for each piece purchased. Sorry, but since you are receiving art from the transaction the IRS does not allow the charity portion to be tax deductible. However, feel free to make additional donations to the charity and those will be 100% deductible. CVB Gallery takes nothing. See you on October 27th!
